About Mary Jo Martin
Mary Jo Avvampato-Martin is an award-winning landscape designer whose artistry is both creative and practical. Her expertise is providing residential outdoor living spaces that are attuned to clients' lifestyles, their homes' design and architecture, and the unique demands of each location. Her greatest satisfaction comes from establishing rapport with clients and using her talents and expertise to enhance their lifestyles. She was raised near Châteauroux, France in the countryside of the Loire Valley and has traveled extensively, visiting and studying the great gardens of Europe and North America.
Mary Jo, who established her landscape design business in 2000, is based in Santee, California, and works throughout the San Diego area. Via research, attention to detail and a keen aesthetic awareness, Mary Jo selects plants and creates designs tailored to the individual client. As is appropriate for the Southern California region, her gardens are water wise and environmentally sustainable.
